I have strategically eliminated what I assume is Jamie Varner’s Xbox gamertag from the banner photo above. For awhile I thought about adding him as a friend but from the looks of it, the dude is a Call of Duty player, and I have no interest in playing such an antiquated and overrated shooter. Give me Battlefield all day any day. Once you have destructable environments you can’t go back.
I wish I knew Varner was a gamer before I spoke to him last night at XFO 39 just a few minutes after he put Tyler Combs to sleep in impressive fashion. I would have loved to discuss his feelings on the lame Modern Warfare 3 trailer. Instead, the ex WEC champ and I discussed everything but console first person shooters in the interview below.
