Holly Holm doesn’t give a shit. She’ll move up and down in weight, fight whoever, it’s whatever. You talk shit, you get kicked in the head by Holly Holm. Someone ducking a fighter, or not even ducking but it’s whatever she’ll fight anyone. She just wants to stay active and get paid.
Holly Holm is Nick Diaz. Not Ronda. Not anyone else in the women’s division. The fact of the matter is that many ladies in the division pick and choose who they’re going to fight, pluck who they want from the shallow pool known as women’s MMA in the UFC, then ride the wave to a title shot. Holly doesn’t care. She’ll fight everyone – EVERYONE. Even an ex-training partner in Cyborg at the weight of her choice.
She told MMA Fighting as much:
“I love Cyborg,” Holm said. “She’s awesome. I finally got to get to know her this year. Whatever Cyborg wants to do, I support it. You want to stay at a heavier weight, you don’t want to go to 140? Whatever she wants to do, I’m all about it. I haven’t really thought about it too much.”
Not only is Holly down to fight Cyborg when Ronda wasn’t, she’ll move up and let Cyborg dictate the weight. Of course, this will never happen while she has the 135 belt, Holly is no Conor McGregor, but she is a Diaz. And she’ll take on anyone. It’s whatever.
