What would Sunday be without the one-two punch of the Sunday Morning Rumor Mill and a spectacular Bellator highlight? I don’t know…Monday? Sometimes these opening rhetorical questions leave me with a lack of things to say so…
We are reaching the end of a fantastic season 4 for Bellator which featured a plethora of fights last night that probably made you spill your drink all over your crotch in excitement just like I did. From the Cooper/Shlemenko slugfest to the brutal scarf hold armlock applied by Giedrius Karavackas onto Sam Oropeza, to the lightweight finals war of attrition between Patricky Pitbull and Michael Chandler, it was one of the best Bellator cards ever, this I hope we can agree on. I hope we can also agree that Hector Lombard’s current 23 fight win streak is nothing short of incredible, just like his latest KO.
I still want to see Hector vs Josh Barnett with Erik Paulson as the special guest referee.
