One week out, UFC Vegas 70 has taken a bit of a hit.

Alex Reyes withdrew from his bout against Trevor Peek and Darrius Flowers also withdrew from his scheduled matchup against Erick Gonzalez. After losing their original opponents, Peek and Gonzalez will now fight on Feb. 25, sources told Middle Easy on Tuesday.

Peek has yet to be beaten as a pro. The 28 year-old prospect earned a UFC contract on Dana White’s Contender Series with an impressive TKO win over Malik Lewis. Peek also has a win over former UFC fighter Khama Worthy on the regional scene.

The undefeated fighter will look to improve to 8-0 when he makes his promotional debut against Erick Gonzalez.

‘Ghost Pepper’ has yet to taste victory inside the Octagon, coming up short against Jim Miller and Terrance McKinney in his first two UFC outings. Gonzalez believes the third time’s the charm for him when he meets Trevor Peek next weekend.

“I’m excited. Last minute changes but we are prepared,” Gonzalez told Middle Easy. “Peek is same height and similar style I would say. My game-plan stays the same. I don’t see him winning this fight anywhere.”
