In a division reigned by three dudes who all can’t seem to defeat Jon Jones (and one who didn’t get a chance to fight him yet), this seemed like a fight for the guys who want to let the division know that they’re still here. Well… Teixeira is still motherfuckin’ here.
It didn’t take long at all for Teixeira to plod around until he could get Evans to the fence. It was there that he got him circle into the right, then Teixeira took the soul out of Evans with a tight and crisp left hook.
It’s not clear what could be next for Teixeira. Perhaps OSP after he loses to Sober Weightlifting Jon Jones? A fight with Rumble Johnson for the #1 contender position? Either way, its’ clear that he’s here to stay.
