  • Charles Oliveira is confident about Alex Pereira scoring a knockout win over Jamahal Hill at UFC 300
  • “Do Bronx” said “Poatan” is looking to avenge Glover Teixeira’s title fight loss to “Sweet Dreams”

Charles Oliveira thinks Alex Pereira can avenge Glover Teixeira’s title fight loss to Jamaha Hill with a knockout win at UFC 300.

It’s a revenge fight

Speaking to MMA Fighting, “Do Bronx” unsurprisingly backed his fellow Brazilian UFC star to finish Hill. According to Oliveira, Hill is hard to read but Pereira will be coming in eager to secure a knockout win which will serve as revenge for Teixeira’s title fight loss to “Sweet Dreams” at UFC 283.

“Jamahal deserves all the respect in the world,” Oliveira began. “He’s super tough and hits hard. But everyone that comes in to trade with ‘Poatan’ on the feet will get folded. Pereira is tough and hits hard. He’s definitely hungry for revenge too, and wants to avenge Glover’s loss. You have to be careful with that, but I’m sure ‘Poatan’ will knock him out.”

“He’s [Jamahal] bluffing for sure,” he assessed. “Jamahal has the takedown skill to make it happen. That’s the strategy, to take him down. If he trades on the feet, he’s getting knocked out.”

Alex expects the best out of Jamahal

Pereira has already laid out his plan to compete at UFC 301 provided that he wouldn’t get hurt at UFC 300. Despite being confident about beating Hill, “Poatan” expects “Sweet Dreams” to be at his “100%” come fight night.

Hill is coming off a serious Achilles injury and will try to reclaim his light heavyweight title. On the other hand, Pereira will look to defend his belt for the first time.

UFC 300 will take place on April 13 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
