Gillian Robertson made quick work of ‘Thug’ Rose Namajunas in the Fury Pro Grappling 6 main event on Friday night.
Emanating from the 2300 Arena, previously known as the ECW Arena, in Philadelphia, Fury Pro stacked their final submission grappling event of the year with top names from the world of BJJ and MMA. In the headlining match, former two-time UFC strawweight champion Rose Namajunas met submission specialist Gillian Robertson in what turned out to be a short but entertaining contest.
Robertson’s Achilles heel has always been her striking inside the Octagon, but on the mat, few can match her skill. ‘ The Savage’ put those skills on full display, taking Namajunas’ back in the early going and sinking in a rear-naked choke, forcing Namajunas to tap out at the 65-second mark.

Pat Barry Returns to Competition For the First Time in Seven Years at Fury Pro Grappling 6
Prior to his appearance at Fury Pro Grappling 6 on Friday night, Pat Barry had not competed in any form of combat sports for over seven years. Fans today are still familiar with Barry, regularly seeing him in the corner of his partner Rose Namajunas at UFC events.
Not content to let Namajunas have all the fun at the Fury Pro event, Barry stepped onto the mat for a heavyweight matchup with Jon Pellott while Namajunas was in his corner. Throughout the contest, Barry was unable to muster any real offense and for the majority of the bout, simply allowed Pellott to ride him until the time limit expired. Neither competitor came anywhere close to threatening a submission, but Pellott’s control throughout the contest earned him a decision victory.
