Francis Ngannou isn’t exactly waiting to hear what UFC CEO Dana White has to say about his impressive showing against Tyson Fury.

Ngannou and the UFC parted ways earlier this year after failing to come to terms on a new deal. While the narrative by some within the MMA community was that Ngannou “fumbled the bag,” he ended up securing a PFL MMA contract that goes beyond in-cage competition and a lucrative fight with Fury. While most experts believed that Ngannou would be light work for “The Gypsy King,” things played out far differently.

It was clear during the boxing match that Ngannou flustered Fury at times, and even knocked him down. Ngannou didn’t come away with the win, losing via split decision, but many argue that he should’ve had his hand raised.

Francis Ngannou Isn’t Concerned With Dana White’s Reaction

As of now, UFC CEO Dana White has yet to discuss Ngannou’s performance publicly. Many expect that to change soon, seeing as how the UFC boss claimed “The Predator” wanted easy fights after his UFC exit.

Appearing on “The MMA Hour,” Francis Ngannou was asked by Ariel Helwani what he thinks Dana is feeling after the boxing match with Tyson Fury.

“Who cares,” Ngannou said. “Dana White feels like Dana White feels, I feel like I feel. Personally, I feel great. I think you have to send him an invite so you can ask him. I would like to know, too [laughs]. We can’t hold it up into that. Dana is Dana, he says what Dana says.”

Ngannou also responded to some UFC fighters who didn’t have faith in him going into the Fury fight.

“You have to understand, Dana has the power over a lot of the fighters,” Ngannou said. “A lot of them, they are just there to please the boss. A lot of them, they don’t have their own personality, they don’t have their own identity. So, they just wanna fit in something, and you can’t blame them. It costs a lot and it takes a lot to stand up and say what you think. Some people don’t just have it, and some people just make themselves a puppet. It’s okay. I can’t be anybody’s puppet. I’m too big for that, I’m too proud for that.”
