I sort of fell off from the whole WWE/WWF bandwagon when I found out that Papa Shango was just a dude from Las Vegas that managed strip clubs. Sort of takes the luster out of the whole ‘Parts Unknown’ back story. Dave Batista has been the WWE Heavyweight Champion four times, World Tag Team three times and PWI ranked him #1 of the 500 best singles wrestlers in 2005. At Strikeforce Los Angeles, I saw this dude backstage hanging around with Imani Lee (James Toney’s training partner and the guy Minowman rear naked choked at Dream 14). I’m an idiot for not putting the pieces of the puzzle together, fortunately we have TMZ to pick up where I foolishly left off. Check out this video of Batista saying that he’s been signed with Strikeforce and he knows who he’s going to fight, but he just won’t tell us. Bummer.
Update: Strikeforce has said that they have not signed Batista…’yet’.
