Fabricio Werdum says he’s only going to fight for 2-3 more years, calls Alistair Overeem ‘selfish’

Strikeforce Fedor vs. Werdum has been on my DVR for eight months and I still haven’t watched the main event. I’m sure a little bit of my soul is still aimlessly wandering around the HP Pavilion in San Jose from that night in June. In just sixty-nine seconds, Fedor was served his first loss in ten years. Before June 26th, the last time The Last Emperor grabbed an L, Bill Clinton was President of the United States. After the fight, Werdum said he would teach the submission in his gym for a nominal fee of only ten dollars (and there’s still time to register for the first lesson). Fabricio also gets the award for dropping the greatest plug in the history of MMA. Granted, the beauty of the event is that it would take two submissions to defeat the greatest of all time.

LayzieTheSavage caught up with Werdum in his gym to discuss an amount of things, including his current Strikeforce contract and his opinion of everyone in the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand-Prix.
