Maybe you’ve gone back to the salt mine (as it were), grappler, and are already back to you job slangin’ tasty Chalupas and Doritos infused Taco Supremes to the masses. That’s all good. You gotta pay for your Jiu Jitsu somehow. And, hopefully, Mom & Dad bought you some new BJJ swag and equipment for the 2013 grappling year.
2012 was the best year ever for DSTRYR/SG. Case in point, we scored a great interview with the Santa Claus of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, living legend, Rickson Gracie. We make no qualms about our immense admiration for the man around these parts. He embodies Jiu Jitsu and when he speaks, we listen. Maybe you’ve seen this interview. That’s fine – watch it again to renew your BJJ mojo and, even if your academy is closed tonight, go pick up a ground fight with a family member or maybe even a stranger. You need it.
Oh, and if there is anything you take away from Rickson’s words, we think it should be this – always go for the submission.
