Dillon Danis has found himself in another controversial headline.
‘El Jefe’ seems to always be surrounded by negative publicity nowadays. The 29-year-old is being accused of promoting a fake NFT project. Danis has claimed in the past that he makes most of his money on social media, including companies paying him to promote products. He recently advertised an NFT company on Twitter by saying:
“Check this out! SourzNFT Candies are Moonbound! #NFA sourznft.com”
It turns out Danis was tricked by a YouTuber named Coffeezilla. The social media personality exposed ‘El Jefe’ with this post on Twitter:
“We just tricked Dillon Danis into promoting a fake NFT project. We paid him $1,000 to post, he didn’t disclose it was an #AD, and posted copy that literally spells out S.C.A.M. ”
The post has since been deleted, but Coffeezilla featured a screenshot to back up his claims. To be fair, Danis was just trying to make some quick money, but the mistake adds to his controversial reputation. The former Bellator fighter had a chance to silence the doubters in a boxing match against KSI, but ‘El Jefe’ pulled out.

Dillon Danis has promoted over twenty sketchy NFT projects
The NFT community has been filled with scams and suspicious activity, including Logan Paul, who was allegedly involved in a fraudulent project. There was an argument for Dillon Danis simply being on the wrong side of a prank, but Coffeezilla believes ‘El Jefe’ is aware of his wrongdoing.
The YouTuber posted another Twitter post about a website created to display Danis’ association with over twenty fake NFT projects. The website has this written when ‘Mint It!’ is clicked on the main page:
“Dillon Danis Promoted our Fake NFT Scam with 0 Due Diligence. But it gets so much worse. We found over 20 crypto projects Dillon Danis promoted online for money, and then tried deleting the evidence from the Internet. Here are some of them.”
Danis last fought in June 2019, winning his second first-round submission under the Bellator banner. The 29-year-old has continued to tease a return to combat sports, but the withdrawal against KSI has led some people to believe he may never fight again.
The entire project is fake, and if you "Mint it", it takes you to website devoted to all the scams he's done in the past. https://t.co/6WAfHPhp9y pic.twitter.com/qrfFTsY3Vl
