Michael Bisping is the latest MMA personality to jump on the Dillon Danis bashing train.

For three years, grappler and MMA fighter Dillon Danis has been out of competition. He has been dealing with an injury that has kept him on the sideline after fighting twice under the Bellator MMA banner. Throughout his hiatus from competition, Danis stayed busy making enemies and trash-talking on social media. All that talk kept him relevant in the fight world and he was able to book a boxing match against YouTuber KSI. That fight was supposed to go down on Jan. 14 but just ten days out, Danis backed out of the fight.

According to KSI’s manager, the reason for the withdrawal included Danis being underprepared. He explained that Danis was overweight and had no coach. Now the MMA community is reacting to this news and they are, quite frankly, not surprised. Among them is former UFC fighter Michael Bisping who took to his YouTube channel to roast Danis a bit.

Michael Bisping calls Dillon Danis ‘ridiculous’ for fight withdrawal

Bisping was appalled by the actions of Danis. He stated that he did not believe he even deserved the opportunity of that bout to begin with, but then to pull out was too much for Bisping to hold back.

“They were supposed to fight in a few weeks’ time at Wembley Arena one of the most iconic arenas on planet Earth. Okay, so number he has no business fighting in the main event but you get these opportunities you take every opportunity that you can,” he said. “He would have had a big payday, KSI has a huge following. He would have made some money and he would have gotten respect of people, rather than just trolling, talking sh-t, being that guy on Twitter, being the guy getting thrown out of Madison Square Garden.”

Bisping continued to bash Danis and his actions leading up to this removal. He mentioned that Danis had broken a code that combat sports fighters have between one another.

“There’s a certain code, I believe in combat sports, whether it’s boxing, mixed martial arts, whatever, there’s an agreement with another man or another woman, you agree you’re gonna face one another,” he said. “People start training, the public buys tickets, promoters spend a fortune on promoting these things and booking arenas and all the rest of it. And then just on a whim, you just decide, nah, I’m not gonna go through with it. That’s just ridiculous. So I think Dillon this is gonna really bite you in the ass. You’re gonna have problems booking a fight ever again. Even if he wants to do that, and he’s upset and a lot of people.”

Danis is still under his contract with Bellator MMA at this time. He has been in talks for other boxing matches as well. Now that he has proven to be untrustworthy, it will be interesting if Bisping is right and anyone looks to fight him again. Danis has failed to release a comment other than a social media post that simply read, “Fake News.”
