Ex-UFC title challenger Darren Till has fired back at those who suspect he may have a drug problem.

Till, who challenged Tyron Woodley for the UFC Welterweight Championship back in September 2018, was a hot topic on social media recently. It was sparked by the “BJJOversimplified” Twitter account. The person running the account posted a recent image of Till taken in the gym and compared it with a picture of “The Gorilla” during his UFC run.

The person claimed this wasn’t an attempt to be mean right before making a joke at Till’s expense.

“I’m not trying to be mean but Darren does not look well. This is like a before and after 20 years of hard drugs in Hollywood after being a young star.”

One fan pointed out that Till likely just got done with an intense gym session, and the tweets are all for nothing.

“Well considering that he’s absolutely dripping in sweat it’s pretty clear he’s been through a grueling gym session,” Twitter user Cameron McBryde wrote.

Darren Till Responds To Hoopla Surrounding Image

Darren Till ended up responding to “BJJOversimplified” and he insisted that he’s doing just fine.

“It’s all good, it was just after a hard session in the gym this morning,” Till wrote. “This is me about an hour ago after food. Feel like I am not looking bad to be fair. I read all the comments for once as well and none of you have a clue. I live a clean life. Injuries is what has been my burden.”

Till hasn’t had a pro MMA bout since his last UFC outing against Dricus du Plessis back in December 2022. “The Gorilla” requested and was granted his release from the promotion. He’s gone 1-5 in his last six fights. Back in May, Till launched Gorilla Fight Club with South African politician Duduzane Zuma. The promotion seeks to book boxing matches between celebrities of various genres.
