‘Platinum’ Mike Perry is on board for a boxing clash with bitter rival Darren Till under the Misfits boxing banner.
On October 14, Perry will act as a backup for the highly anticipated showdown between social media sensation Logan Paul and BJJ specialist Dillon Danis. The pair are scheduled to step inside the squared circle in Manchester as part of Misfits Boxing’s ‘The PRIME Card’ featuring a main event contest between KSI and Tommy Fury.
During Tuesday’s chaotic press event to promote the event, Mike Perry revealed that he would be the backup for Paul vs. Danis should either fighter be unable to make the date. Happy to sit back and collect a check without having to do any work, Perry was asked about potentially adding his name to the event against another former UFC standout, Darren Till.
“That’s a good callout. I didn’t even think of that because I’ve been calling him out for bare-knuckle, Perry said in an interview with Jamal Niaz. “Bare Knuckle’s been trying to get that, but I’m already here in England. I was talking bout Anthony Taylor talking sh*t on Twitter and Darren Till, we can put the gloves on since you’re scared to do it bare-knuckle. I’ll knock you out with eight-ounce gloves on.
“I’ll be ready to fight. I’m training. I’ll be a stand-in. They gotta pay me regardless. I’m here for a check and that could get a lot bigger if I’ll be fighting on the card. That card could get a lot bigger if I’m fighting on the card, especially with a name like Darren Till.”
If @PlatinumPerry doesn’t end up fighting Logan Paul, everyone would love to see him fight @darrentill2 on the Prime card on October 14th‼️🔥

Perry reposted the interview on X (formerly Twitter), tagging Till and making the formal challenge. It didn’t take long for Till to respond, accepting the proposal.

Perry and Till have been at odds with one another dating back to a sparring session in 2018. Perhaps we will finally see the two ex-UFC stars settle their differences as part of this fall’s Misfits boxing event.
Belal Muhammad Weighs In on Mike Perry vs. Darren Till
Adding his two cents into the conversation was No. 3 ranked welterweight contender Belal Muhammad. Responding to Till’s post, ‘Remember the Name’ suggested that things would not go well for ‘The Gorilla’ should the two men sign on the dotted line.
“Mike lights you up,” Muhammad wrote.

Darren Till exited the UFC last year after dropping five of his last six bouts with the promotion. Till has expressed interest in re-signing with the promotion in the future but until then, ‘The Gorillia’ may be able to collect his own check by strapping on the eight-ouncers for a long-awaited scrap with the BKFC superstar.
