  • The UFC boss boasted about the overwhelming numbers his Power Slap League has been generating

UFC president Dana White has got his fingers in every pie as far as everything about the UFC and Power Slap League. He recently revealed that Power Slap already has its own war room and they built another one for an upcoming project.

It’s constantly growing

Speaking to My Mom’s Basement with Robbie Fox, White said that aside from the UFC’s iconic war room, he and his team figured Power Slap League has been growing that it also needed a war room for its matches. Currently, White said the company has three war rooms already as the other one is for a new project which he would talk about in the future.

“We all work together here,” White said. “It’s a lot of good teamwork here at UFC. We also have a war room for another project that we’re getting involved into. I’ll tell you about that when we get ready to launch it but yeah, we built another war room here so there’s three war rooms here now.”

“This is what I need, I can’t just sit here and talk back and forth and talk about fights,” he added. “I have to be able to see it. I have to look at the rankings. I got to look at the map. I think I have a learning disorder, I have to see it on the walls or whatever, but yeah, that’s why we build these things.”

Numbers don’t lie

When asked about how the recent Power Slap 2 event did as far as numbers go, the UFC boss zealously divulged that it was another “huge success.”

According to White, Power Slap’s numbers beat the NHL and the NBA’s recent biggest games and the results were overwhelming.

“It was another huge success,” White declared. “We did almost 2 million viewers, and 4 billion media impressions and I’ll get into the crazy numbers We gained 253 thousand followers, from a Monday to a Monday and we had 125 million video views., 66% of all the video views were over a million and 21% were over 2 million.”

“Now, think about this, during the same period that the NHL was in the middle of their Conference Finals they did a a total of what six videos that were over one million Power Slap had 31. Over 2 million the NHL had one we had 20. Total video views they had 25 million, Power Slap had 90 million. This thing fu**ing crushes it on social media,” he revealed.

“And here’s what’s even more impressive,” he continued. “When you think about games 4-7 with the Heat and the Celtics, in games four through seven, the Celtics came back three in a row and game 7 was historic. If the Celtics win they’re the first to ever come back [from being] down three, if the Heat win, they’re the first to ever win as an eight-seed [team] right. Total video views for them, games 4 through 7, the Heat had 20 [million], Celtics had 29, Power Slap had 31. And then as far as video views go, it was 65 million to 90 million. If we did half of what those guys did it would have been a f**king ing story. We did more. How crazy is that so you know lots of people like to talk s*** about Power Slap power slap’s doing just fine.”

White went on and announced that Power Slap 3 will take place on July 7, on “the Friday before the UFC fight on International fight week.”

Despite the seemingly impressive numbers, White’s Power Slap League is still being heavily criticized by some combat sports enthusiasts, most notably MMA journalist Ariel Helwani.
