UFC Extends Deal With Abu Dhabi Department Of Culture And Tourism, Dana White Comments

The UFC and Abu Dhabi continue their partnership.

The UFC and Abu Dhabi will continue doing business together for the next few years.

Just ahead of UFC 294, it was announced that the top MMA promotion in the world and the Abu Dhabi Department Of Culture And Tourism have extended their partnership to 2028. The two sides first began their formal partnership in 2019. UFC CEO Dana White has often hailed Abu Dhabi as the MVP during the pandemic era, creating “Fight Island” while the rest of the world was shut down due to COVID-19.

In an official press release announcing the partnership extension, Dana White had glowing praise for Abu Dhabi, and announced that the capital of the UAE will be getting some more fight nights during this deal.

“Abu Dhabi is one of my favorite places in the world; the people, the restaurants, the hotels, it’s incredible,” White said. “I have been so excited to be able to put on some of the biggest fights in the history of UFC in Abu Dhabi and it’s only going to get even bigger from here with additional Fight Nights coming to the region next year. I love it here.”

White doubled down in a video posted on his X account. The UFC boss urged fans to make their way to Abu Dhabi.

“You know how much I love Abu Dhabi,” White said. “We just signed a deal to extend our partnership for many, many years to come. We’re gonna be with these guys forever, but we just extended the deal. I tell you all, all the time, you have to come to Abu Dhabi. Listen, let the UFC be the excuse you come here, but you have to come see this place. It’s amazing and I could not be happier to extend our deal with these guys.”
