Dana White went off on Misfits Boxing for claiming they sold 1.3 million pay-per-views.
On October 14, Misfits Boxing held a fight card inside the AO Arena in Manchester, England, which featured various well-known influencers. The event was co-headlined by Tommy Fury defeating KSI and Logan Paul dominating Dillon Danis.
Most of the fights didn’t live up to the hype produced by social media drama. With that said, Misfits Boxing declared in the aftermath that the event sold 1.3 million pay-per-views, an astonishing number for any combat sports event.
Yet, some people have disputed the number, claiming there was no way influencer boxing could have sold that many PPVs.
During an interview on the Full Send Podcast, UFC president Dana White shut down the possibility of Misfits Boxing selling one million PPVs by saying:
“Let me tell you this. Let me tell you how hard it is to sell 1.3 million pay-per-view buys. And if you did sell 1.3, if you sold 700,000 pay-per-view buys, they’d be putting on fights f*cking ten times a year. When you hear those numbers fly around in the pay-per-view world, they’re lying motherf*ckers. Don’t ever believe that sh*t. Do you know how much f*cking money that is if they went in and cut a deal and did 1.3 million pay-per-view buys?”
Dana White continued:
“If you come out and say you did 1.3 million pay-per-view buys on your event, you’re lying through your f*cking teeth. Lying through your teeth. That amount of money you would make, they’d be doing pay-per-views all the f*cking time. Let me tell you what. Every pay-per-view distributor out there would want them and Showtime wouldn’t have went out of business.”

Dana White labels influencer boxing as “sh*tty boxing”
Over the past few years, influencer boxing has established a massive following of fans interested in seeing their favorite social media personalities in a boxing match. With that said, Dana White isn’t impressed with the product due to the production and quality of the fights.
The UFC president had this to say during the previously mentioned podcast interview:
“Much cheaper and a much better experience [to watch the highlights on social media]. The production sucks, the f*cking fights end up sucking. It’s sh*tty boxing is what it is. I’m not trying to sh*t on them. I don’t care what they guys do, knock yourself out. These are just facts…None of those f*cking guys are doing a million buys.”
In 2023, Misfits Boxing held eight events, with six in England and two in the United States. Due to the growing fanbase and lack of competition, the number one promotion in influencer boxing is preparing to break personal records in 2024.
