After months of antagonizing one another on social media and in interviews, social media star Logan Paul finally stepped inside the squared circle with Dillon Danis as part of Misfits Boxing’s ‘The PRIME Card’ in Manchester.

Emanating from the AO Arena, Danis and Paul have been at each others’ throats from the moment their bout was first announced two months ago. But on Saturday, the time for talk was over as both men strapped on the eight-ounce gloves to settle their differences with their fists instead of their mouths.

Round 1

Paul comes out immediately aggressive looking to land a combination. Danis keeps his guard high as Paul pumps the jab. Both men lock up and things get dirty right away in the clinch. Paul fires to the body of Danis and lands. Danis continues to keep the guard high as Paul peppers him with strikes. Halfway through the first round, Danis is yet to throw a significant strike. Paul again goes to the body. Danis finally fires back. Paul keeps his hands low and repeatedly targets the body of Danis. Paul lands another 1-2 to the body followed by a right hand. Danis fires back but misses as the first round ends.

Round 2

More of the same in round two with Danis keeping his guard up and talking to Paul while the social media star proceeds to unload a series of strikes. Paul’s volume appears to slow a bit in the second with Danis hesitant to throw anything back. Danis marches forward, putting on the pressure, but offers little offense. Paul splits the guard of Danis and lands a solid jab. Swatting right hand from Danis lands as Paul attempts to circle away from the ropes.

Left hand from Paul lands that sends Danis retreating. Paul moves in and unleashes another flurry of strikes that has Danis backed into the corner. Danis survives the onslaught and circles away as the second round comes to a close.

Round 3

In the opening seconds of round three, the referee calls for more action from Danis who has been little more than a punching back through two rounds. 1-2 from Paul lands as Danis’ face begins to swell up. Paul rips to the body. Double jab to the body of Danis lands. Danis attempts to fire back and partially lands with the right hand. Danis inexplicably lays down, welcoming Paul into his BJJ guard before standing back up and being admonished by the referee.

Paul puts Danis on his bicycle and unloads a combination, landing on the body of Danis once again. A left hand from Danis lands as he continues to showboat. Big right hand from Paul lands and Danis offers nothing in return at the round ends.

Round 4

Danis comes out and quickly lands a shot. Paul remains significantly more active as Danis looks to absorb and fire back, but can’t get close enough to make it happen. Paul begins to move backward, waiting for Danis to engage, but thus far, the BJJ specialist is refusing to offer much of anything. Paul dances around as Danis throws a combination. Paul goes back to the body before throwing a series of lunging jabs. A body shot from Paul closes out a rather uneventful round.

Round 5

Paul gets Danis backed into the corner early and unloads a series of strikes targeting the body and head of Danis with some slick guard manipulation. Danis throws a right hook that Paul ducks under. 1-2 from Paul lands. Double jab from Paul. Danis tries to fire back, but it’s a swing and a miss. Danis is still talking to Paul as both fighters seem content to just circle around and ring for the final 30 seconds of the round.

As the bell sounds, Danis moves in on Paul, prompting Paul to shove him back toward his own corner. Jake Paul is also inside the ring as the chaos begins to calm.

Round 6

Through five rounds of action, Dillon Danis has only landed nine punches compared to Paul who has landed more than 80. With only three minutes to go, Danis looks happy just to coast through the final round and avoid the knockout. Paul continues to pursue and fire. Danis throws back in an attempt to keep Paul at bay. Danis appears to shoot in for a takedown at the 90-second mark, prompting Paul’s security team to step up onto the apron. Danis backs off keeping things from getting completely out of control.

The crowd has completely turned on Danis and is cheering for Paul in the final 30 seconds of the fight. With only seconds left, Danis appears to try and put a guillotine choke on Paul, but slips and falls to the canvas. Paul throws a punch while Danis lays on the mat and security begins to flood the ring prompting an all-out brawl inside the ring.

Fortunately, things are quelled quickly with both men and their teams being separated. Following the scuffle, ring announcer Michael Buffer revealed that Danis had been disqualified.
