Dana White Says Logan Paul Would Get Murdered In UFC

Dana White: “If I Ever Let Logan Paul Fight In The UFC, I Should Be Arrested.”

Hold on to your horses on the talk of internet celebrity Logan Paul fighting in the octagon. According to UFC President Dana White, it’s not going to happen.

Logan already tested his skills in a long-awaited boxing match against another internet sensation names “KSI.” Though two fought to a draw, the online-streamed showdown received a remarkable amount of attention. Reports are now claiming that this amateur fight sold more pay-per-views (PPV) than any UFC event in 2018.

Paul and KSI expected to throw down again in a rematch, this time around on U.S. soil. But Paul also wants to try his luck in the UFC.

The idea of Logan entering the UFC sparked some discussion within MMA fighters, like Sage Northcutt throw his hat while others show their disdain. The talk broached to White at media scrum on Thursday, head honcho immediately shut it down.

“That guy would get murdered here,” White told MMA Fighting following the UFC 229 press conference in New York City. “He would get hurt badly. If I ever let him fight in the UFC, I should be arrested.”

Before anyone brings the topic White promptly defend his decision of introducing former WWE superstar Phil “CM Punk” Brooks, who fought twice in UFC but lost both of them.

Though, Paul who has amateur wrestling skills, White shut down comparison with Punk.

“I know everyone is going to say, ‘You let CM Punk fight in the UFC,’” said White, laughing. “Look, I have no hate for [Paul]. Look at the business that guy has built on YouTube and the number of pay-per-views they did on YouTube. They did 800,000 [buys] at 10 bucks for two guys that fight fans have never heard of.

“So he’s built a great business for himself and good for him. But trust me, don’t play around over here. You will get hurt.”

Share your thoughts, do you think Logan Paul should stay away from UFC or should get a chance in the Octagon like CM Punk?
