Dana White States Conor Vs Khabib 2 Should Happen In 2019

UFC Boss Dana White Claims Conor McGregor And Khabib Nurmagomedov “Should” Fight Again This Year!

It looks like UFC president Dana White expects a rematch between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2019!

Let’s remember, their first fight was held at UFC 229, on October 6, 2018, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Khabib Nurmagomedov defeated an Irishman via submission in the fourth round. The Russian completely dominated the match, and even knocked Conor McGregor down after brutal second-round weaving overhand right.

Unfortunately, the match is also remembered by a post-fight riot. Furious Khabib Nurmagomedov jumped over the fence to deal with Dillon Danis. It quickly escalated into a wild brawl. Khabib’s teammate Zubaira Tukhugov entered the Octagon and sucker punched the Irishman. Dana White even denied giving Khabib a belt due to “security reasons”.

Conor McGregor later released round-by-round breakdown in his Instagram post, explaining what went wrong. But he also gave a credit to the Russian fighter for his win.

The UFC president Dana White said in his interview with TMZ that he was aware many people would like to see Conor Vs Khabib again. (h/t TMZ.com)

“I think a lot of people want to see that fight,” White told TMZ.

Yet, there are few more hurdles to clear. Both fighters are under suspensions at the moment. Khabib and Conor must appear in front of NSAC and answer some unpleasant questions. Also, don’t forget the former UFC Interim Lightweight champion Tony Ferguson is the first in line for a title shot against Khabib Nurmagomedov (their fight was delayed four times).

Anyway, Dana White claims the rematch between Khabib and Conor should go down in 2019 if everything goes well.

“Obviously guys are going to have to win, and then there’s the suspensions. But yeah, as long as everything goes right, this fight should happen.”

What are your thoughts on this? How many of you want to see a rematch between UFC cash cow and one of the most dominant fighters ever?
