I tried writing this article while Alex Jones’ appearance on The Piers Morgan Show played in the background and I couldn’t help but laugh manically at the entire thing. This Alex Jones — he had one shot to be taken serious by the mainstream media and he blew it by acting like the stereotypical nutcase that people believed he always was. Of course the counter-conspiracy spin to all of it is that Alex Jones was mind controlled by the Illuminati to act insane in order to discredit his stance on the government — and any other secret organization that lurks in the shadows. That’s a far stretch by some, but to the average conspiracy theorist — it’s plausible. To the average MMA fan, Dan Henderson knocking out Jon Jones is another plausible possibility that must be considered in the realm of mixed martial arts.
According to this MMAJunkie Radio interview, Hendo absolutely believes that if we get a repeat of UFC 151 and his fight with Bones does go down, he will ‘knock him on his ass.’
“I feel that I’m probably the guy to beat in the weight class,” he said. “I know that if I fought Jones, I’d knock him on his ass. But if I don’t get that opportunity, I’m not going to sit and dwell on it and wait for it. I waited last year, and I’m not going to do it this year.”
Keep in mind, the fight that we all wanted should have happened last year. Instead, we received Vitor Belort vs. Jon Jones — and although Belfort put up a valiant effort, he was yet another sacrifice to the UFC light heavyweight champion. Oh, and Jon Jones doesn’t like Alex Jones. I asked him.
