Corey Anderson Wants A Shot At Jon Jones

Everybody wants a piece of the UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones. Corey Anderson is the lastest to do so, even though he currently has a fight booked against Johnny Walker November 2nd at Madison Square Garden. Anderson thinks Jones is soft, and he took to a popular news publication to voice his opinions.

Lately, many UFC fighters have been making headlines by the remarks they have shared with news outlet TMZ. In the case of Anderson, the story is no different. Anderson sat down with TMZ Sports to explain an event in which Jones disrespected Corey and his team previously in New Jersey.

TMZ Asked What Happened In New Jersey

As soon as TMZ asked about the incident and where Corey and Jon stand, Anderson immediately went into talking about wanting to fight Jon.

“I want that belt and I want his head on a platter.”, said Anderson as he held a child.

He then went on to explain the situation in New Jersey.

Anderson said, “He came to my hometown, 5 minutes from where I was just training.. and you can’t expect to come to my town and (I) not show up.”

Corey said the altercation occurred when he began to speak to Jon’s manager. At the time, Anderson claimed to not be aware that it was in fact Jon’s management. He then said Jon came over to him and said ‘something.’

“What? I can’t talk to your man(s)? You mad cause I know your man too?” said Anderson to Jones. And that was when Jon, in Corey’s words, started to “pop off.”

Jones reportedly said “Look, Corey, don’t come over here talking s**t to me. This ain’t the place. If you want to fight we (are) going to fight.”

Security then came and as the situation became heated, Jones allegedly began to become aggressive and throw up his middle fingers.

Anderson Believes He Is In Jon’s Head

After the drama, Corey said that Jon made himself appear ‘sensitive’ and ‘soft’ by the way he reacted to the situation. Anderson thinks that he lives rent-free in Jon’s head for the way he reacted to the incident.

All that GOAT talk, you soft like baby sh*t,he expressed to TMZ. “I didn’t even say nothing to you and you got in your feelings?”

Anderson then spoke about how Jon reacted afterward.

Cory stated, “Then all night, everything I posted on my story, on my Twitter, he was responding, he was tweeting me, he was commenting like, ‘Yo, I got in your feelings that much that you on my page checking everything that I post now?’

Anderson Must First Defeat Johnny Walker

If Corey wants to take a crack at Jon Jones, he must first defeat his next challenger in Johnny Walker. Walker is undefeated in his Zuffa career and is coming off of three knockouts in a row each earning him a Performance of the Night bonus.

Even with those accomplishments, Corey isn’t fascinated by Walker. He claimed Walker was just another hype train in the division.

The pair will meet at UFC 244 in Madison Square Garden. If Corey can defeat Walker, all of the Jon Jones beef could possibly pay off.
