McGregor punches an elderly man inside a The Marble Arch Pub in Dublin, Ireland

The former “champ champ” is reported by TMZ Sports to have attacked the man in a conflict over his label of whiskey. Video of the McGregor punch has surfaced via TMZ:

When Conor sat an empty half-pint in front of the man, he pushed it away. In the video, the sequence occurs a second time. The footage jumps to several moments later when McGregor tried to get some saloon chant going. It remains a mystery as to what exactly inspired McGregor to strike the mans head. Especially while the victim wasn’t paying attention.

Rumors surrounding the incident indicate that Conor was upset that the man denied a round of McGregor’s ‘Proper 12’ whiskey. After denying the whiskey on two separate occasions, the man continued to enjoy his time in the pub. McGregor looked irritated as he continued to down some Proper 12 of his own.

The McGregor punch landed clean on the victims head but it wasn’t even enough to rattle the man. He looked confused at why he was punched, but he took the blow well. The man remained on his barstool, appearing completely unphased by the punch.

The incident marks the last time McGregor finished a ‘fight’ via strikes since UFC 205 where he won the lightweight championship. Since then, McGregor has made numerous headlines due to predicaments concerning the law.

Word is still out on the polices involvement with this particular event. TMZ says that the disturbance was reported to cops and they have reportedly seen the video of the footage after McGregor was pulled out of the bar. Police told TMZ Sports in Ireland that they are still “investigating the incident” and that “no arrests have been made to date.”

“Garda are investigating an assault incident that occurred at a public house in Drimnagh, Dublin 12, on 6/4/19 at approximately 2:30 pm. Investigations ongoing in relation to this incident and no arrests have been made to date.” (via Fitnessvolt.com)
