Conor McGregor and Road House co-star Jake Gyllenhaal teamed up to film a scene in Las Vegas.
The UFC 285 fight week is in full swing and fans in Las Vegas are getting their share of MMA excitement. This week has been filled with press conferences, weigh-ins, and other little treats featuring some of the best fighters in the world. On Friday there was a little added bonus for fans in attendance at the ceremonial weigh-ins for UFC 285. Conor McGregor was on hand along with the star of the upcoming Road House film Jake Gyllenhaal. The pair teamed up to film a scene from the movie on the stage.
The Road House remake features the Academy Award-nominated actor Gyllenhaal playing an MMA fighter. This scene showed his character hitting the scale and facing off against former MMA fighter Jay Hieron. McGregor was on hand for the whole thing but was not in the particular scene.
Conor McGregor got the crowd pumped for the filming of the Road House scene
McGregor has been away from UFC competition for almost two years. He injured his leg in his last fight against Dustin Poirier in July of 2021. Since then he has been healing up and working on his movie with Gyllenhaal. Now McGregor is in Las Vegas filming another project, The Ultimate Fighter, but took some time out to get the crowd pumped for his first-ever feature film.

“We’ve got the biggest fight in Road House history, Harris versus Dalton At UFC 222,” he said. “Everyone in this arena you are about to be part of my movie that’s coming out with myself and Jake Gyllenhaal and Joe Silva Production. Make sure to cheer for the weigh-ins and let’s go Las Vegas.”
McGregor is due back in the UFC Octagon later this year after he finishes filming this season of The Ultimate Fighter. He will be taking on the opposing coach Michael Chandler in his return fight. The date for that bout is not yet set but should be sometime after September. The release date for the Road House film is still to be determined.
