The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is on the cusp of yet another spectacular pay-per-view (PPV) event, as UFC 285 is set to go down this Saturday night (March 4, 2023) at the illustrious T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. It’s a stacked card that will feature a vacant heavyweight title fight between the returning Jon Jones and former interim champion Ciryl Gane, a five-round clash that will undoubtedly be a thriller from start to finish.
But before the fighters can lock horns inside the Octagon, they must first make weight at the official weigh-ins. This is where the fighters will face off for the first time ahead of their respective bouts, as they look to hit their target weight and get one step closer to securing victory on fight night.
Aside from the heavyweight title tilt, UFC 285 will also showcase a women’s flyweight championship bout between the reigning 125-pound queen Valentina Shevchenko and the No. 6-ranked contender, Alexa Grasso. With so much at stake, the stakes have never been higher for these elite combatants, and fight fans can’t wait to see how it all unfolds.
The time has come for the UFC 285 fighters to step on the scale and make weight ahead of Saturday night’s pay-per-view extravaganza. As always, the early weigh-ins will be streamed LIVE from the UFC APEX facility in Las Vegas in the embedded video below, starting promptly at 12 p.m. ET.
With 28 fighters scheduled to hit the scales, the proceedings are expected to take around two hours, but could end much earlier if everyone makes weight quickly. This is a crucial moment for the fighters, as they’ll be looking to hit their target weight in order to avoid any penalties or missed opportunities on fight night.
