McGregor has been the subject of discussions in MMA because of his massive physique. It is yet to be determined if “The Notorious” intended to look jacked for the movie or he just wanted to pack up some muscles as he eyes to move up in his long-awaited UFC return.
Road House was a classic 1989 movie starring Patrick Swayze. McGregor will make his big-screen acting debut alongside Gyllenhaal. The remake of the cult classic is directed by Doug Liman.
The McGregor sweepstakes is still hot
McGregor has been out since suffering a gruesome leg injury at UFC 264 in 2021. Nevertheless, his stock appears to be still high as top contenders are still interested in a scrap with him.
No. 5 lightweight contender Michael Chandler has been expressing his desire to take on “The Notorious” in his return. “Iron” Mike kept calling McGregor out, stressing that a fight between him and the Irish MMA superstar is the bang for the UFC fans’ buck.
Former lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos has also proposed a showdown with McGregor this year. RDA thinks it would be interesting to rekindle his bad blood with “The Notorious,” which began during their botched lightweight title fight in 2016.
There’s still no specific timeframe for McGregor’s UFC return but it might take a while as it is very likely that he must first have to deal with the issues regarding USADA.
