- “Chaos” thinks Edwards’ father’s bad rap is on the level of Adolf Hitler
Many were disgusted after Colby Covington threw shade at Leon Edwards’ late father ahead of UFC 296. Even now that the fight is over, “Chaos” insists that he is not taking back what he said about Edwards’ dad. If anything, he’s doubling down.
Colby didn’t hold back
Speaking on PBD podcast, “Chaos” did not mince his words and reiterated that he doesn’t and will never feel bad for a “criminal” like Edwards’ father. For Covington, Edwards’ dad was a bad person just like how bad Adolf Hitler was.
“He has a troubled criminal past. I mean, there’s legitimate facts that he did like I’m not going to hide the truth and I’m not going to feel sorry for someone who put torment and so much pain in people’s lives. There’s a lot of victims left over from Leon’s father, whether it was the women that he sex-trafficked, whether it was the people that he sold drugs to, I mean, I’m not going to feel bad for someone like that so you know it is what it is that’s life, you know, I’m just being honest with him. He’s not a good person,” Covington pointed out.
“I’m doubling down, why would I feel bad for anything I say for someone is such a criminal and put so much pain in people’s lives? I’m not going to feel bad for someone like that. Just like Hitler, he was a terrible person, I’m not comparing him to Hitler, I’m saying he is the same level of bad guy,” he added.
Leon doesn’t consider Colby a man
In his UFC 296 post-fight presser, Edwards addressed Covington’s foul comments about his dad. According to the reigning welterweight champ, “Chaos” is a “coward” and not a man for saying such horrible things about his father.
Clearly, Edwards and Covington are not burying the hatchet anytime soon. As it stands, the bitter rivals are focused on their next move. Colby is targeting Stephen Thompson, while “Rocky” is laser-focused on defending his title as long as he can.
