UFC stars Colby Covington and ‘Iron’ Michael Chandler had a spirited debate over who would come out on top between Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg and the man behind Tesla Motors and SpaceX, Elon Musk.

Mainstream media has been abuzz over the last week as a potential scrap between the two billionaire social media moguls has gone from fantasy to a very real possibility courtesy of UFC President Dana White who sniffed out the lucrative opportunity like a pig hunting truffles. Since then, practically every fighter and promoter under the sun has come out of the woodwork to snatch a piece of the pie that could potentially generate hundreds of millions in revenue.

Sharing their thoughts on the scrap, which has been heavily rumored to go down at UFC 300 next year, outspoken welterweight contender Colby Covington and high-octane lightweight Michael Chandler squared off in a spirited debate on Fox News over who would come out on top in the social media smackdown.

“It wouldn’t even be competitive,” Covington began. “Mark Zuckerberg, he brings beta soy boy energy. Elon Musk, he bring alpha energy. He’s a man of the people. He’s looking to restore free speech. He’s looking to fight the corruption and collusion at the highest level of government.

“He’s a man of the people right now and he’s an alpha. He talks the talk and he walks the walk. I don’t think Zuckerberg will actually get into the Octagon with him, and if did, I don’t think he’d be the same person ever again.”

Sidestepping Colby Covington’s clear intent to drag his political agenda into the conversation, ‘Chaos’ believes Musk’s size will be his biggest advantage, giving him the power necessary to plant the Meta CEO six feet under the Octagon with one well-placed punch.

“Elon Musk, he packs a big bunch, man. That’s the Sultan of Space X. That’s the Terror of Tesla. That guy brings alpha energy. If he punched Zuckerberg, he’d crumble. Zuckerberg is nothing more than a privileged thief that stole Facebook and if he got punched in the mouth, that jiu-jitsu goes right down the toilet,” Covington added.

Michael Chandler Believes Youth and Experience Will Get the Job Done for Mark Zuckerberg

Michael Chandler took a much more measured approach in his assessment, suggesting the youth of Mark Zuckerberg matched with his daily regimen of BJJ, kickboxing, and MMA training will earn him a win against the Titan of Twitter.

“I got Zuckerberg on this one. Zuckerberg has been training,” Chandler said. “Yes, he does have one of the lower belts on the BJJ hierarchy, but you see him out there, he’s doing kickboxing. He’s doing boxing. And I spoke to Dana White today.

“He said this fight is real and this fight is happening and it’s going to be the biggest fight, not just in UFC history but combat sports history,” Chandler continued. “I think, yes, Elon is the bigger guy, but Elon is the older guy. It all depends on who can actually show up on fight night and put those skills to the test. And Zuckerberg has a lot more skills.”

Elon Musk holds a six-inch height advantage over Mark Zuckerberg and is roughly 30-pound heavier than the man behind Meta. Of course, Musk would likely slim down as he progresses through his training making the weight difference less impactful. Age would also play a huge factor as Musk is more than a decade older than ‘The Zuck.’ With both youth and experience on his side, it’s hard to imagine Musk coming out on top in this fight that still feels like a fever dream we’re struggling to wake up from.

Currently, FanDuel has Mark Zuckerberg listed as a more than four-to-one favorite to come out on top in the battle of the billionaires.
