We asked about 15 different media outlets what they though the result of Coenen vs. Roxy would be and everyone said it could go either way. They weren’t being diplomatic, people just really didn’t know. In their first fight, Roxy caught the W in an open weight tourney that had everyone mumbling ‘wtf?’ under their breath. Two years later in some suburb near Chicago, Coenen armbared Roxanne Modafferi grabbing the W in the first round and to rub it in…the sound guy played ‘Roxy to an audience of over 10,000 people. Sort of messed up but everyone should look on the bright side. The win by Marloes Coenen just sets up a rubber match that we hopefully can see pan out in the very near future.
