Clay Guida didn’t just run laps around the Octagon, he actually won a fight too

Houston Alexander still holds the record for total octagon distance traveled in his fight against Kimbo Slice, but Clay Guida has been nibbling on the heels of that performance for quite some time. In fact, Clay moves around so much that it’s hard to get him to sit still for his medical evaluations, his dinner dates, or any sort of TSA security screening. That must be frustrating for everyone involved, especially MMA fans. Rest assured that Clay Guida’s sporadic movement is here to stay, and you have no choice but to try and enjoy it. There’s certainly no denying that it’s effective.

Dude just beat Hatsu Hioki by getting him dizzy and capitalizing on Hioki’s disorientation with a three well-placed takedowns to earn a split decision victory. The hipster mustache was a nice touch too. Pretty soon, all of us will look like Clay Guida just to fit in, but Clay will have already begun a new trend for us to marvel at by then. I guess that deserves props — or your never-ending commentary about the controversial bout. Whichever comes first.
