First and foremost, props to Ryan Loco for tweeting about the UFC Undisputed 2010 launch party at M2 Ultralounge in NYC that I forgot about entirely. If not for him, I’d have sat at home hitting the refresh button on Dana White’s twitter page for the next 5 hours to see what Pinkberry he’d be unloading the last of free tickets to UFC 111. I walked in, name-dropped my way into press credentials and below you’ll find what I was able to capture with my $6,300 of Nikon goodness.
As far as gameplay goes… This game is friggin incredible. If you liked UFC Undisputed 2009, this year’s version is more fluid, with more realistic transitions and the ability to initiate submissions standing up, or from the bottom position. None of that mattered to me, I went right for Cain Velasquez and mashed the buttons to oblivion. The only thing more gratifying than unloading a flurry of haymakers in UFC Undisputed 2010 were the delicious bite-sized BLTs the caterer was passing out. Tracy Lee knows what I’m talking about. Tonight was baller and I can’t wait to have my very own copy in May. The only part that sucks about that is that we actually have to wait until May…
