There have been boxing movies for as long as there has been cinema. Only in recent years has our young sport been able to bask in the flickering light of the silver screen emanating from such fictional MMA gems as Undisputed II, Never Back Down and Unrivaled.
Now the big boys are entering the cinematic cage, no longer shall we settle for straight to home video releases of the Jackson camp in weird action dramas. Enter: Warrior, the next movie from hardcore pro filmmaker Gavin O’conner, the director of Miracle and other movies of that caliber. This guy worked with Kurt Russell, AKA Snake Plissken AKA Jack Burton. Respect. Watch.
