Cesar Gracie says Nick Diaz is the ‘Rosa Parks’ of MMA

Only in MMA can you have a fighter be compared to one of the greatest civil rights pioneer in modern history. What hasn’t been said about Nick Diaz that hasn’t already been said about Cheech and Chong’s Up in Smoke? Nick Diaz openly admits that he smokes weed and that fact alone should automatically place him in your ‘List of fighters I want to see Ice Age 3 with stoned’. He actually says that smoking weed is all ‘part of his plan’ which apparently seems to work since the dude has been flawless in his last five fights. We would applaud Nick Diaz if he ever invited us over for a late night session.

Despite California having over 200,000 registered medical marijuana users, the CSAC has recently made it clear that they will test fighters for marijuana and if caught, they will be punished. How does Nick Diaz feel about this? Dude “doesn’t give a [expletive]”. MMAweekly brushed through the smoke and empty bags of dorritos to catch up with Cesar Gracie to get Nick Diaz’s reaction to the ruling by CSAC. Here’s what he had to say:

“He doesn’t give a [expletive]

It’s almost like they’re picking and choosing. It’s like, we’ll follow this commission here, but oh wait, they’re not stern enough, so we’re going to do this.

Obviously, I’d love to have Nick fight in California. It’s right here in my home state. It’s not Virginia or something where Nathan (Diaz) is fighting. It’d be great if Nick could quit smoking all together, if he could do that, but if he doesn’t, he doesn’t.

What can you do, man? Rosa Parks wasn’t supposed to ride in the front of the bus. She was supposed to be in the back of that bus.

Nick is the Rosa Parks of MMA

Dude pulled the Rosa Parks card. Sorry Chewbacca Defense, we have a new champion. [Source]
