Telling a person to ‘peace out.’ That’s such an Arizona State University thing to do. That’s something that an alumnus from the University of Arizona would make fun of by publishing an article about it on an MMA site that has hand-drawn cartoons for a background. The truth is, I don’t have beef with any of the guys that emerged from ASU like CB Dollaway, Ryan Bader, and Cain Velasquez. I’ve never even met them. Even if I did have a problem with them, it would be virtually impossible to do anything about it. These guys get paid to punch other people in the face for a living. I sit around all day and occasionally write about early 90s nostalgia. I could retire from my day job, but then I would spend the rest of my life watching old episodes of Salute your Shorts. It’s a nominal existence for someone that’s never entered the cage in front of an audience of thousands of maniacal fans. If CB Dollaway saw what I did every day, he would tell me to retire from life. Instead, he tells us that he believes Mayhem Miller should retire from MMA following his loss against him at UFC 146.
