Bo Nickal reacted to Jake Paul announcing his ninth professional boxing match.

On December 15, ‘The Problem Child’ returns to action for the next step in his journey to becoming a boxing world champion. This time, the 26-year-old will travel to the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida, where he will fight Andre August (10-1-1) in an eight-round cruiserweight bout.

Paul’s latest opponent announcement was met with mixed reactions. Some fans respect the YouTuber-turned-boxer for fighting a pure boxer. On the contrary, other people have questioned the legitimacy of August due to him being 35 years old and only fighting once in the last four years.

As for UFC middleweight Bo Nickal, he reacted to the news on his podcast called “Nickals and Dimes”:

“I guess he’s fought real fighters, but those guys, it’s like a money fight. Obviously he wants to go about it a certain way. It seems like at least he wants to build up. I mean still, the guy is 10-1, so it’s a good fight.”

Bo Nickal hints at Jake Paul potentially struggling to decide who to fight

Jake Paul’s boxing career has featured fights against a YouTuber, a retired NBA player, several MMA legends, and Tommy Fury. There’s no doubt that Paul is taking a calculated approach to his combat sports venture, which Bo Nickal recently acknowledged.

During the previously mentioned podcast, Nickal had this to say about Paul’s process of deciding who to fight next:

“It’s gotta be so hard for him. Who’s he gonna fight? I mean obviously now he’s fighting somebody that nobody probably knows, which I think it’s tough.”

Jake Paul started his professional boxing journey with six consecutive wins, including four by KO/TKO. On February 26, he suffered his first loss against Tommy Fury, which was scored a split decision. Luckily for Paul, he bounced back with a unanimous decision win against Nate Diaz in August.

Meanwhile, Bo Nickal is waiting for his next UFC opponent after winning his first two fights. The Penn State alum last fought on July 8, defeating short-notice opponent Val Woodburn with a first-round knockout.
