Michael Bisping has been having conversations with Darren Till and the main takeaway is that Khamzat Chimaev is the “real deal.”

Khamzat Chimaev: A “Terrifying” Fighter

Taking to his YouTube channel, Michael Bisping said that Darren Till is fully onboard the Khamzat Chimaev hype train (via BJPenn.com).

“I am hearing things about Khamzat that are truly terrifying. As I said Darren Till is out there, I’ve got a bunch of friends out there in Sweden, they’re filming, Blockasset is a company that I’m involved with. They are calling me up and saying ‘holy f***ing s***, Khamzat is the real deal’. He works his ass off, trains like a motherf***er, lifting weights, pushing everyone in the room, great stand-up, great wrestling.”

Khamzat Chimaev has been linked to a potential April showdown with Gilbert Burns. The bout hasn’t been made official but reports indicate that if it does come to fruition, then it’ll be held at UFC 273.

Thus far in his pro MMA career, Chimaev has amassed a record of 10-0. He is 4-0 under the UFC banner and all of those bouts resulted in a “Performance of the Night” bonus.

“Borz” is coming off a first-round technical submission finish over Li Jingliang back in Oct. 2021. He is the number 11-ranked UFC welterweight. If he ends up fighting and defeating the number two-ranked Burns, Chimaev will be on the fast track to a UFC title shot.
