Well-known MMA journalist Ariel Helwani has shared his thoughts on Dillon Danis and his trolling of Nina Agdal.
Danis has found himself in hot water for consistently taking aim at Logan Paul’s fiancée on social media. Agdal has filed a lawsuit against “El Jefe” over a slew of images and a video of the model posted on social media. Agdal’s legal team alleges the “smear campaign” has violated federal law. Agdal also claims that a video of her posted on Danis’ Twitter was obtained through a hacked Snapchat account.
The Sports Illustrated swimsuit model also filed a restraining order against the Bellator MMA fighter. She was granted the order after Danis reportedly failed to show up in court.
Ariel Helwani Responds To Dillon Danis Trolling Nina Agdal
Ariel Helwani recently spoke to Demetrious Johnson on the “Mighty Gaming” YouTube channel. During the chat, Helwani gave his take on Dillon Danis being relentless in his trolling of Nina Agdal.
“I don’t know what’s real and what isn’t,” Helwani said. “I have long felt like wives, girlfriends, partners, husbands, like that stuff should all be left out of fight promotion, and I’m pretty liberal when it comes to fight promotion. I love pro wrestling, I love the showmanship. Trash talk is great, but I feel like wives, partners, girlfriends, religion, parents, all that doesn’t need to be brought up. I know what some people are saying, like, ‘Hey, Logan has rolled in the mud. He’s certainly not a choir boy. You’ve gotta be able to deal with this stuff,’ but it did kind of go on for a long time. It’s still going on.”
No Ill Feelings Towards Danis
With that said, Helwani wanted to make it clear that he is not rooting for Danis to fail in his scheduled boxing match with Logan Paul on October 14.
“I will just say this about Dillon, I think he is gonna show up and I don’t wish ill towards him,” Helwani said. “I actually feel like I’ve been one of the few people that publicly supported him when he wasn’t fighting when he was kind of just viewed as Conor’s guy.”
