It might be time for Antonio Silva to retire.
‘Bigfoot’ took on Oleg Popov in a heavyweight bout at the MMA Series 53 event in Moscow, Russia.
However, it didn’t go his way as he was knocked out cold by Popov. Silva was advancing forward only to get caught by a counter left hook that put his lights out.
The referee stopped the action soon after.

Antonio Silva Winless In His Last Seven
Once one of the most feared heavyweights on the planet, Silva, 42, has now lost his last seven outings in MMA, with six of those defeats coming by way of knockout.
Overall, Silva, who now sports a 19-14 record with one no contest, has won just once in his last 12 outings with that being his TKO win over Soa Palelei back in August 2015.
Silva was previously set to face Tyrone Spong at an Eagle FC event earlier this year. However, it never came to fruition with commissions seemingly unwilling to sanction the fight given his recent results and age.
With knockout defeats in other combat sports including bare knuckle boxing and kickboxing, it really should be time for the Brazilian to call it a day or risk further damage to his long-term health.
Continuing his hot streak, Popov improved his record as a pro to 15-1 with his 13th consecutive win. The last seven opponents he has faced have been defeated by him.
