Sam Alvey Confirms UFC Release, Teases Boxing Match With Jake Paul

Alvey seemingly confirmed his release from the UFC and jokingly called for a boxing match with Paul.

Sam Alvey

The long-running meme involving Sam Alvey and the UFC is seemingly over.

Alvey went winless for the ninth fight in a row following his TKO defeat to Michał Oleksiejczuk this past weekend at UFC Vegas 59.

It was also notably the last fight on his UFC deal.

However, in recent years and especially recent months, a common meme in the combat sports world is how Alvey has managed to remain a UFC fighter despite his current winless streak.

All this while fighters with more respectable records and runs have been cut at the same time.

Not anymore.

Sam Alvey Confirms Release From UFC

Alvey seemingly confirmed his own release from the UFC as he reposted all the memes about him remaining in the UFC in good spirit.

He also jokingly called for a fight with Jake Paul in response to one of the memes.

“Y’all didn’t let me down 😂 couple of these had me rolling. Hey @jakepaul I’m not under contract anymore 😁”

You can view his post as well as the memes below:

An actual boxing fight with Paul seems unlikely even though Alvey does seemingly fit the criteria of being a past-his-prime former UFC fighter.

However, it will be interesting to see what’s next for Alvey.
