- Alexander Volkanovski would be eager to compete at UFC 300 to either replace Conor McGregor or faec a big-name fighter
- “The Great” ahs also called Dustin Poitier out
Alexander Volkanovski wouldn’t hesitate to step in and join UFC 303 if the Conor McGregor vs/ Michael Chandler gets cancelled.
Volk will only go for big names
Speaking to Submission Radio, “The Great” said he’ll be open to facing Michael Chandler should McGrgor fails to commit to it. In case the UFC 303 main event gets scratch off, Volkanovski is still down to it but the opponent should be a big-name fighter.
“As long as it’s a big fight,” Volk said of joining UFC 303. “I wouldn’t just take any fight, because as you said, it’s a big deal. Save save the day as well. I love just saving the day as well. I’m just that good of a guy. I might have to save the day, I’ll save the day. Obviously, get paid well for it as well. You never know. I was just mucking around with that,” he clarified. “I don’t even know, there’s probably nothing even happened. It’s probably just a couple of little little hiccups, and everyone’s blowing it out of proportion. But, I will have fun, throw my name out there for a bit of a laugh.”
Something is going on
UFC 303 is currently making headlines after the even’s scheduled press conference in Dublin, Ireland got postponed. While “Notorious,” insists that he is still making his UFC return at UFC 303, some are now speculating that the entire matchup will be replaced.
Aside from Chandler, Volkanovski is also interested in facing Dustin Poirier in an epic showdown while waiting for his shot at the featherweight title.
