The UFC’s No. 1 contender at middleweight has 47 pounds to lose in three months.
With just three UFC fights to his name, Alex Pereira will fight Israel Adesanya at UFC 281 on November 12. The pair of middleweights have history, fighting twice in kickboxing. Pereira defeated Adesanya both times – brutally knocking him out in their second meeting.
Alex Pereira is heeeavy at the moment
On Monday, Twitter user @YoshiKatzo shared a screenshot of Pereira weighing himself.
“Alex Pereira Out of Camp
232.8 Pounds – Wow
This is insane, he fights at 185.
Imagine what he weighs entering the cage!”

With his title fight against Adesanya three months away, almost to the day – “Poatan” has three months to lose 47 pounds.
The Brazilian hasn’t missed weight before, so there is no need to worry.
