Everyone reacts to personal loss differently. Some make space in their sock drawer where they can crawl into a fetal position and sleep for days. Others get angry, and lash out, throwing their controller of life against a wall like it was an Xbox gamepad. Alan Belcher goes the artistic route. He writes down his feelings of a post Okami/Belcher II in the moment – raw and real – and then shares them with us in a touching video with questionable video codecs and resolutions. Not many athletes are willing to go this far in opening themselves up to their fans, loved ones and general public. It takes a sort of bravery not many possess.
For this, we salute Alan Belcher.
