Finally. I don’t mean to be harsh, but we’ve been waiting for what seems like forever for just some damn EA UFC gameplay, and it’s shaping up to be effing beautiful. Don’t even try to front like these animations, models and framerate don’t impress you. I did the ‘look out of the corner of my eye while walking past’ test and yes, it does look like a real fight, I’m just concerned that after seeing these clips, it may be a little too… How do I say this? Um… Action movie-ey.
Still, the promise of one well-placed blow changing the entire fight thrills me. We saw what happened with Ronda and Sara McMann, and this was my one main gripes with UFC 3 (which I loved) – no flash anything. Yes, you could get a flash knockout, but I’ve played thousands of matches and I’ve only seen it a few times. EA MMA had it more ‘right.’
So yeah, I could go on and on about how I’m super pumped for this game ‘coming in Spring’ (likely summer or fall now, let’s be honest), but you already know that.
