There are a lot of things wrong with the Call Of Duty series. Most of it ironically, isn’t necessarily because of the game itself. The community of the series is less than stellar. It’s nearly impossible to go on and avoid being called either a racist or homophobic slur, from someone who based on the M rating of the game, shouldn’t be playing it. I’m not sure what it Is about Call of Duty that breeds this environment. Maybe It’s the fast twitch gameplay for today’s ADD generation.
Whether you like it or not, Call of Duty I’d the face of online gaming among the mainstream media. It’s the most recognizable name and will continue to get the most attention for the time being. This brings sponsorships such as Mountain Dew and Doritos because you know. That’s all gamers eat and drink.
