Little Mac joins the cast of Super Smash Brothers

I’m going to make a somewhat controversial statement. Super Smash Brothers is the best multiplayer game on the N64, not GoldenEye. Don’t get me wrong, I loved me some GoldenEye but Super Smash Brothers was on another level. Part of it is because of the unavoidable screen hopping that happened in GoldenEye and I’ve had numerous sleep others in my childhood based solely around GoldenEye. Super Smash Brothers though is the pinnacle of multiplayer N64 games. Getting four players on Sector Z or Hyrule Castle brought me some of the best local multiplayer gaming moments of my entire life.

As someone who’s going to purchase a 3DS in the near future, I’m looking forward to the new Super Smash Brothers. At Nintendo Direct today they announced the newest character, Little Mac.

This vaguely has anything to do with Little Mac but I remember one day I came home from this weird church class my mom made me go to. I was all excited because I was going to watch The Simpsons, I didn’t get to watch The Simpsons. My father beat ‘Boxing Legends of The Ring’ that day and he wanted to keep the end screen on TV. I was really proud of him because we’d always come up with overly-elaborate game plans as if I was Jack Blackburn and my father was Joe Louis.

What I’m trying to say is, my father and I are going to use Little Mac and treat it as if Super Smash is a hardcore boxing simulator.
