Everyone always comes to a point and time in their life when they start to miss being a kid. Most of that is based in nostalgia which there’s nothing wrong with that but let’s call a spade a spade, most of the reasons you wish you were a kid again are for the wrong reasons. People like to think the music they grew up with was the best or the shows they grew up with were the best, that simply isn’t the case. People are blinded by nostalgia, they can’t admit that maybe there was good music when they grew up as well as awful music when they grew up and that’s no different than today.
I’m not above getting nostalgic and saying unintelligent things but my main reason for wanting to be a kid again is arcades. Arcades aren’t a nostalgia blinding thing, no way. Rooms lit only by the flashing lights of the machines, stacking your quarter on the machine to get next, it was all such a magical thing. The mystery of people telling you different ways to try and unlock reptile in Mortal Kombat then going to your local arcade to see if they were telling the truth, that is largely missing in today’s gaming scene.
Without a doubt one of the staples of the arcades was the Street Fighter series, with such a large stable of games, there’s bound to some stuff you don’t know. So sit down and educate yourself, son.
