Bummer, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Delayed Until Feb. 2015

One of the games that has been used to highlight how awesome this new generation of consoles would be has oddly enough been CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. I say oddly enough because the original Witcher game wasn’t much of a success and The Witcher 2 did receive a release on Xbox 360 eventually, but was mostly a PC darling. Basically, I’m not sure that the people who are excited about The Witcher 3 have played any of the previous games, but it sure does look pretty and will be awesome. At least people can recognize that, right?

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt had a “2014” release date attached to it for ages now, with demo footage being shown in promo materials for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, making it seem like it would be here sooner rather than later. Today we were hit with a bit of a bummer as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been pushed back to February 2015 by CD Projekt RED, who felt that the game was good, but was going to take a bit more work to get it to where they needed it to be. I’m all for games getting slightly delayed if it means it ships with less bugs and doesn’t require a bajillion patches on day one.

Watch this in the meantime, it will both help and bolster your depression.
