Uriah Hall boxing a former NFL player was not on our bingo 2022 card, but here we are.

Hall vs. Bell

On Wednesday, NFL reporter Adam Schefter was the first to report the news that former UFC fighter Hall will box former NFL running back Le’Veon Bell on the undercard of Anderson Silva vs. Jake Paul. Hall vs. Bell will be a four-round professional boxing match that will take place at cruiserweight (195 pounds).

Le’Veon Bell is set to make his pro boxing debut against MMA star and former UFC fighter Uriah Hall as part of Most Valuable Promotions’ Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva event on SHOWTIME PPV on Sat., Oct. 29 in Phoenix. Bell is coming off an exhibition knockout vs. Adrian Peterson.

Most Valuable Promotions would confirm the booking a few minutes later.

Quick (un)retirement

‘Prime Time’ Hall retired from the sport of MMA last month in August, writing on Instagram, “It is with great sadness that I will be stepping away from the greatest sport in the world.”

His retirement came after two straight losses, the most recent coming against monster prospect Andre Muniz at UFC 276 in July.

By the time Hall enters the boxing ring on October 23, he will have been retired for a whopping 74 days.

Bell’s second boxing match

Bell is a two-time first-team All-Pro and three-time Pro Bowl running back who played most of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He made his exhibition boxing debut on September 10 when he knocked out fellow NFL running back Adrian Peterson.
