Former UFC fighter Uriah Hall marked his return to action against ex-NFL running back Le’Veon Bell.

The once-hyped middleweight mixed martial arts prospect had announced his retirement from the sport in August. He departed the promotion after dropping two in a row. As the runner-up of The Ultimate Fighter Season 17, ‘Primetime’ gained attention after scoring one of the most vicious knockouts on the show.

Uriah Hall beats Le’Veon Bell in a lackluster fight

Uriah Hall made his comeback to combat sports against Bell in a four-round boxing match on the undercard of Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva tonight at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. The 38-year-old Jamaican native looked sharper against Bell but did not get started until later in the contest. Hall came out on top of the judges’ scorecards by unanimous decision in his boxing debut, with all three judges scoring the fight 40-36 in his favor.

Following his first win as a professional boxer, Hall praised his opponent for stepping up to the challenge.

“I have so much respect for him. It’s such a hard thing to switch careers and to step outside his comfort zone and do this. I don’t care who you are, it’s the toughest sport in the world and I gave him so much props. I’m proud of you. This should make you understand that it is a hard road. I promise you, if you keep going, you’ll make it. Right here, this is life. These corners, this is life.

“He definitely surprised me. He’s pretty good. I think he does have a spot in this career. Obviously, this sport is mental… He was strong. I got cracked a couple of times. I was like, holy sh**. But I had to keep it together. I’m proud of it man. You’re a good dude.”

Hall called out Jake Paul after the win

During the post-fight interview, Hall issued a callout of the headliner, Paul, for an outing next.

“F**k yeah, I wanna do this man. I want Jake Paul. I want his frosty a**. I’m the dude that’s going to come out here and expose him. If Anderson don’t do it, I’m going to be the one to f*** you up.”

Paul will face Silva in the main event of the night.
